I got two crowntail betta fish seven months ago, but three weeks ago one of them got sick, so i bought a "fongus clear tank buddies" and i used as they recommend.

The sick fish is getting better and better but, week ago my red fish stared with swimming problems, each day less active and didn't want to eat, then he just went straight to the botton and hardly move. so i put him on a breeder container.

I say a coincidence since your other one is doing fine, unless he ate some of it somehow.

Did you treat both or one? And I've seen some deaths with medication, but sometimes there are reasons behind it. But at the same time, it could be coincidence.

And you're also sure you treated for the right thing? (Either mis-diagnosed, or the fungus clear wasn't the right med). Just asking, no harm.

sadly that fish looks healthy, as did most of my deaths =[ must have been an internal thing or the meds could have done him in. sorry for your loss =[

I know of a case, where a betta died because he was exposed to medications (I think overdose as well) when he wasn't sick. And isn't fungus external? I could be wrong, but not sure... now that DarkMaul pointed it out, he looks completely healthy. It was probably internal, which again - aren't fungus usually external? (I've only heard of "internal parasites", not "internal fungus.")

He looked very bloated. Was he having trouble swimming? Some fish are more sensitive to medications than others. That's why I use it as a last resort.

hello, thanks for reply guys.
yes, i did treat both for the same reason " white patches on their bodys, and it worked, they looked better until he stared getting some trouble to swim. then he stared to look very bloated, so i tried to help him but it wasn't enough time. ( like he gave up, just don't wanted to fight to live anymore). the other one is just doing great.

what do you think?

thank you guys again for your support. i hope this experience can help to prevent more tragics.

He could've had SBD (Swim Bladder Disorder). Fish with SBD can't swim down in the tank, if they try, they "bob" back up. They could also end up sideways on the top because they can't stay a float.
