Hopefully you aren't taking this as being attacked, but bettas and goldfish just are totally different types of fish that require different environments. Goldies prefer cooler temps, while bettas do best at around 80* like 1f2f said. And he's not a crowntail, he's definitely a veil tail with a lot of fin damage. Like I said, we aren't attacking you, we just want you to understand your betta isn't in the best environment and want to help.

He's a pretty color, btw. And the goldies are very cute!
