Red face My Bettas Story

So I figured the way I ended up with my current fish was so unique that it is worth telling. It was at my cousins stag & doe party and they had him there in a bowl. The contest that was supposed to take place was a draw, and whoever was drawn had to EAT the fish...alive and whole. so of course everyone got soooo drunk and forgot about the so I decided to take him home. As we were walking out the door my very drunken cousin stuck his hand in the bowl and tried to get him to eat him... But he gave up and my shocked, severly stressed fish made the hour and a half journey home in a crowded car in a bowl barely half full. But that was about 9 months ago and Jason (named after my cousin who tried to eat him) is thriving in a very clean habitat.

That's... oh my gosh! EATING a live fish? I don't care what kind of fish it would've been, I am not gonna eat one whole, hahaha. At least they were drunk, though. What kind of tank is he in now? I would say "cute story", but um...its more interesting than anything, lol. :)

That's disturbing to say the least. Aren't they supposed to eat goldfish? Not that that makes it any better but geesh....

Kudos to you for rescuing Jason. He caught a lucky break.

xxabc... He's in a bigger bowl now teporarily until I can afford a tank (i'm a student with a part time job so saving to get a tank with all the equiptment is taking its time). But within the next month or so he'll be chillin in a nice big aquarium (not too big) with a heater. Cant wait, it will look awesome in my room! Something about fish, bettas especially, but they bring any room to life! :)

I love how you named him Jason. After the person who tried to eat him. Is that not ironic in a way? Hahah
