Redsnow just had a near fatal accident...

My baby brother knocked his tank over. Redsnow was out of the water for about 2-3 mins. Hes now in his cup from the pet store just laying on the bottom. How do I know hes ok? What do I do? He seems to be loosing his color. Does this mean hes bleeding??? Also the tank is pretty much shattered (its made of plastic btw) so now I have to get a new tank. Any recommendations? Please help im so scared!!

Don't panic!!

Bettas can be out of the water for a while, because they breathe air. He's probably just really scared. Maybe put his cup in a quiet, dark place? Also, make sure you've conditioned the water in it.

Bettas lose their color when they're stressed, so he's not bleeding, don't worry. Just scared. He should be okay once you get him a new tank. How big was his old one?

Keep him in a warm dark place 'til he calms down.

My friend had a betta that was out of the water for almost two hours and was OK!

Hes swimming around a bit now and he saw his reflection in the bottom of the cup and wanted to fight it. Do you think hes gonna be ok?

Yeah buy him a nice big tank and he'll be back to normal in no time.
My boss had her fish jump from her tank, she didn't realize this and stepped on him as well..AND he survived.
