a little advice please?

Hi! I have my betta in a small little tank in the wamest room of the house. In her tank there is a plastic tree and some gravel. I love my betta so much and i wanted to know if there is any way to make my experience with my fish a bit more exiting. I dont have any cash to spend on her and its a three-hour drive to the best petshop as far as I know. I am getting bored of my fish and need to add some fun into my fish!

Are you in an area that you can dig up some earth worms...your yard...the neighbor's yard (just kidding)...You must make sure the area you choose to dig has not been fertilized or sprayed for sometime...if you've got such a place, there is no more nuriousing food than earth worms!!! Obviously they should be kinda small (or chop them up), rinse them very well, and let your betta snack on 1 or 2 pieces of a nice tastey worm. They'll love you for it!! Make sure you're careful about your dig and rinsing. See if that doesn't spice up your betta keeping a little?

thanks! my home is perfect for that! the only proble is that there is so much snow!!!!! oh well. i bet i can find a snowless spot some where...

I've seen snow twice in, like, 3 years.

We got a "hard snow" here this winter. It lasted all of 2 days before it was all melted away!

Yeah, I grew up in Ohio, so we had snow every year. I moved to North Carolina about 4 years ago, went back that Christmas and seen snow, and it was pretty much snowless after that!

You don't have ANY money to spend? =/ I noticed that I'm entertained by my betta much more when I like my tank design and when my fish is happy and swimming around. Even a change of gravel can have you glancing at your tank more frequently.
