Omg! So flippin mad!!!

Ok so I am at petco today buying conditioner...had to look at the girls, can't help myself. Found an AMAZING butterfly female. Bought her floated her for awhile and put her in the tank..I know I know should have quarantined. But that is not the issue.

The issue is that she is a HE!! And she/he bit the tail up of my beautiful and lovely imported mustard gas hm Ugh...here are the pics, I was watching her/him for hours..mostly kept to himself would nip at the girls every once in awhile, normal new girl stuff. BUt then it just continued so I really started staring at him/her..didn't see the white dot which is so clear on every one of my girls. Really? Does this happen often? I have read a few threads where it seems to have happened to someone..what the bleep? I never thought I would have to do a thorough exam before buying..darn it wish that i did!!
I thought that I found the steal of the century!

Thought about feeding him to spidey, but I will just take him back to the store.
Look at what an amazing female he would have been: Also look at the before and after of my Lovely's tail

Aargh, I HATE it when the petstore labels males as females and females as males.... it drives me nuts!! I hope your mustard gas gets better... beautiful bettas!

I have to agree. I got mad when I bought a Betta, supposedly female, turned out to be a male.

took him back to the store, the manager says that I can have 10% of my next purchase...ooohhh! Big whoop. Anyway, does anyone need a LARGE purchase from there? LOL.
My boyfriend says that I am just like the lady who adopted the little boy from Russia and sent him back, alone on a plane. No I am not! Just no room for boys at my house! Unless he is something so amazing that he causes me to redivide a tank no no no!! But there is one on aquabid....

Yeah, it does look like a little girly. That's weird. I'm sorry, he was quite pretty. And I'm sorry about your mustard gas female as well

I LOVE your MG female, where did you get her?

I would hate when the nice little betta you got turns out to be a different gender. It never happened to me, so I am happy, but He still is pretty, er, handsome!
