whats up with the fins?

Looks like someone took a crimping iron to some of my bettas. Can you see what i'm talking about in these pictures?

This last one doesn't seem so bad

Have you checked the usual suspects? (water, temps)

It could very well be fin-rot. It can be difficult to judge, but that last picture (the one that "doesn't seem so bad") looks almost textbook. If so, it appears you caught it early! Water changes, and maybe a little salt in the water for a while, might be all you require.

Looks like fin-rot too.

The last one could be the text-book finrot, but in my own experience it ends up being a betta snatching onto something. Good to keep both in mind.

For your second betta, I'm curious of a "before" picture. I know some bettas with a strange natural coloring, but I'm suspecting bad fin-rot with him... however it could be a wild-shot.

The first one reminds me of my betta currently HEALING from fin-rot cases (haven't had any in forever, though) didn't look like that.
