I'm getting some of those when I have time. :) Though I've never had a problem with plastic plants- these are slightly rounded at all the edges and very soft. However, I do need to make atrip to the pet store for real plants.
You can do the toilet paper or pantyhose test. Just run the plants over toilet paper or pantyhose and if it rips than it'll rip your fishes fins. I'd add more silk plants to your tank. Other than that, it looks great!
I just tried it- no rips whatsoever. I'll try to make a trip to the pet store in the next few days (which will be when I run out of guinea pig food.) :) Thanks everyone
I love the turtle den! My fish has the same thing, except it's a shark And yes, the fake plants are very good for them to hide in. If you don't want to make another trip to the store, another thing you could do is to put lettuce in his tank to provide stimulation, and they can even nibble them. My fish loves to hide in them~ just make sure they don't cover the top so he can get air
