my birthday is coming up and i an wondering if i should ask my dad for a beta fish. i have had a beta before but he tragically died. the problom is we travel allot now can i still have a beta?

If you have the proper tank and equipment, I'd so go for it!!!

Bettas can go a long time without food, if you had a bigger tank then you'd be able to get away without doing water changes if the tank is cycled.

When you travel, are you away for long periods? If so, you're going to need a reliable person to look after your fish while you're away. If you don't have anybody then I don't think you should get it. If you're only away for a day or two, you could still have one, but it'd still be better to have someone reliable to look after him while you're away.
