He's too small to even eat PELLETS.

As some of you may know, I purchased a Red Dragon PK from a breeder. Peanut (the Betta) is a teeny little thing, and has trouble even swallowing the smallest of pellets. Blood Worms get soft easily, so should I feed him those? Also, out of all 5 food items I offered him (pellets and freeze-dried blood worms) he didn't bother with them. He pretended to eat them then spat them out. A few times, I gave him a small blood worm while he was at the surface taking in some air. As soon as he saw it (and he was above the surface) he started shaking head head back and forth... as if saying no. I understand that some bettas don't eat for the first day in their new home (though that's never happened to me.) Lol it was funny, but what do I do...? Will he eat tomorrow?

Either crush up the pellets you have or try some micro pellets. I fed Reina micro pellets for a long time because she couldn't eat the regular ones.

Awww Peanut's a cute name for him! You could also try flakes; I personally don't like them because they cloud the tank up and I can't measure out the rations as easily as I can with pellets. But I just thought I'd suggest it. :)

Agree with DQ. You can try crushing up the pellets and soaking them in a bit of tank water before you try to feed him. Or buy the Hikari micro-pellets.
