I get uneaten food sometimes, but only because the pellets sink to the ground, haha. Maybe if you dump in more than one pellet at a time (I don't, but others may) he may miss one?

I know I have to feed mine one pellet at a time, because he doesn't notice them if they are behind him, and they either fall to the ground or float all over the top of the tank (I'm sure that he would find them and eat them in the second case, but nevertheless...). So I just drop one at a time, 3 or 4 pellets, once a day. Only takes like 30 seconds. And you can hear him chewing;I think it's the funniest thing! It makes me smile every time, I don't know why.
