Hmm....whats your setup like? If your tank is cycled, probably best to leave it be, if not then you might be able to take it and your betta with you. How far do you have to travel each time?

Sorry to hear about your parents. I know what that's like. =(

I would honestly just get a fish for each house XD

Ahh, shouldn't be a problem then ;) Just stick him in his cup for the trip and drain the tank, then set him all back up at the other house as soon as you get there :)

I'm sorry to hear that...I hate divorce. But even though it's not a major drive, I'd do like breanneakristine, get a fish for each house! XP that way you won't have to constantly be lugging one back and forth. But if you kept that one, you could bring him back and forth as the drive isn't too bad.

I think you should leave the betta in one place. Its very stressful on bettas to travel and doing it frequently might not be good for the fish.

i agree putting the poor thing in and out of a cup every week to transport, not to mention having to set up his home every week, on top of the normal water changes.. IMO, that is just way to much moving around and taking in and out of water.. even though its only a short drive, it is a lot of moving for that betta

I'm sorry to hear about the divorce. I think the best thing to do in this situation, seeing as though your parents are okay with you transporting a fish, is to leave the fish in one location and get a SECOND betta for the other place. ;) ( LOL I just read other ppl suggesting the same thing above me, I didn't read those)

Or if you really wanted to, you could buy another tank so you wouldn't have to lob around the other one. Bettas are used to being shipped, that's how they get to pet stores etc. Keeping him in the cup he came in or even a small critter keeper will be fine to transport him in. It's totally up to you what you want to do.
