Dropsy

ok... i read a page about a fish who had dropsy and im kinda freaking out about the symptoms... could someone please tell me the signs of Dropsy?? thank you soooooo much

the main sign I believe is that the fish's scales will "pop out" and he will look like a pine cone, especially if you look at him from the top of his bowl/tank

Dropsy symptoms are pineconing and being lethargic. To prevent it I add a little ampicillin to my water, keeping water clean and NEVER feeding live worms.

fluid retention could be said to be the main symptom it is what causes the scales to 'pine cone' from what I understand dropsy is actually a symptom itself and not the underlying illness and is often an indicator of internal pressure. So that could be anything from a tumor to internal infection etc

But please note this is just what I can gather from what I have read
