Crest and Blaze <3

well i saw the eggs.
uh
i got close, they didnt flare at me, nit mad or anything.
uh
the male seems to be eating some eggs, but those should be unfertilized one.
uh
tried to take female out but male came charging to the net
what should i do? :((((

Yup it's a success, the frys hatched on Tuesday early morning (I know cuz when I saw then on Tuesday late night, they were like swimming around, kinda.) Now about 3 days old..yayyy.. only found 15...Daddy ate most of the eggs when I got the mommy out ;(

I'm gonna post photos as soon as almost all of them starts free swimming (???)
He's a new daddy and is very new to having babies and he panicked when Mummy was caught away.. I don't blame him.. >_<
Their so cute :D

Oh ok. I can understand him being jumpy, my female was nervous when she was separated from her sisters and a trust issue for a while.

Also, it's not uncommon for bettas to have small spawns the first time. Once he's learned and for lack of better words, experienced the joys of 'parent hood' the next spawn will probably be bigger if he doesn't eat the eggs.

Not sure if I asked but you have any plans when the fry get older?

I'm going to keep about 3-5 gonna give some to my moms friend (I OWE HIM ALOT!!) and going to give some away, I NEED TO ASK MY MOM IF I CAN SHIP. If possible, I'll try giving it away...yeaaaah.. Once their like few months old, and the colors are all mature or something, I'll post the pics, im inactive so im most prob gonna skip some .. (Can only take birds view angle as the tank im using is opaque..._.)

I can understand that. Hopefully you'll end up with some nice colors and markings. Any photos of the 'happy' couple (the parents)?
