I also have this tank and agree, the "filter" is too strong. At first I wasnt aware, and within a couple of hours, Orin was just hanging out at the bottum of his tank instead of swimming around the top (which is his favorite place in the tank) so I turned off the "filter"
My friend who knows more about fish than I do suggested I "kink" the tubing for the filter... but I couldnt get it to stay consistantly kinked.
I too am looking for a solution becuase the light with the "filter" running really IS beautiful...
