Clamped fins

I returned today from a one week vacation. All the fish were fine except for my newest guy. When I returned, he had clamped fins. They were not fed during the week except for twice by my cousins, who fed them two pellets on two different days. Lights were on timers for approx 9 hrs/day. I just did a 50% water change and bumped up the temp to around 84ish. Added some aquarium salt. I don't want to treat him with meds if possible, but what do you think?

I have very little experience with sick fish, especially clamped fins, so any advice or suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!

Here is the run down:

SYMPTOMS
Appearance Changes: clamped, sticky fins, slightly bloated.
behavior Changes: same as before I left
Eating Habits: gobbled up the pellets i gave him when i returned
Other: very skittish fish, but is very active as before and eating with no problem. Appeared bloated after I gave him pellets today when I returned.

WATER STATS
Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 10-20ish
Nitrite: 0
pH: ?

HUSBANDRY PRACTICES

Water Additives: prime
Feeding (food type/frequency): aqueon pellets, usually two pellets AM & PM, but only twice this past week, 2 pellets each time.
Tank Mates: used to have another male on the other side of the divider, but gave him to someone locally.

TREATMENT
Any treatment so far and when: gave him Jungle parasite Clear when I got him, just in case. this when he was quarantined. Have had him for approx. 3 - 4 weeks.

HISTORY
List any past health problems: n/a

Here are pics of him today. You can compare him to my avatar which was from the week before I left.

no... I am not 100% sure. I gave him two pellets when I got home, and didn't look too closely whether he was bloated before that or not. My cousin took MY betta food that I had open (the aqueon kind) so I had to give him HBH. The HBH pellets are MUCH larger than the aqueon and I am thinking that may have bloated him. Combined with pretty much not eating for a week and then getting two huge pellets... Cielo, my cambo CT got bloated after eating two of those today... so I'm not sure if it was the pellets from today or last week. None of my other guys looked bloated, so I don't think my cousins fed them too much.

Here he is today. He is still a little bloated (I gave him daphnia and frozen bloodworms today) but not as much as yesterday. Please tell me if you think he looks better? I think he does but would like someone else's opinion. Thanks!

My fish Superman appears to have these same 'clamped' fins. He is also sitting at the bottom of the tank. What causes this?

Looking any better?? I have only added salt and upped the temp. Once he unclamps, I'll tackle any fin rot :-/ Still a little bloated... he seems to bloat easily. I found a wad of poo later and he is no longer bloated.

How do I determine if he has fin rot (I'm only used to looking at light-finned fellas)?
