Help!!!!

Ok, I have been noticing that my boy Demyx's tail is getting all raggidy and torn up at the end ( this makes me want to scream because he had a beautifully long tail ) i'm honest to goodness praying it's not finrot but if it is what kind of medicine should i get him? please help me, his fins are soooooooo pretty and it breaks my heart to see them being torn up and broken

It doesnt look like fin rot so thats good! =D i think he may have torn it on maybe a plant or rock? or he was biting his fins like people bite their nails.

Thank goodness!! im sooo glad it wasnt fin rot how can I stop him from biting his beautiful tail?

i'd say just pamper him a bit, and if you Hikari betta revive health aid, put in a few drops. you can find it at petco for $3, it works like a charm. that'll help regrow his tail

Oh geez, this same thing happened to my Andrew. He is such a spoiled brat! I have done a lot to try to get him to stop biting his tail. I still need to do more apparently, but at least he's slowed down. I was starting to get scared that he was going to start eating his own body! I had a friend come over and draw on my tank walls with washable marker after someone on here suggested it, and he loves it. I think he feels like there is tons more hiding space, because he has a tendency to either hide behind the drawings, or swim around them (like they are obstacles in his path, even though they are just drawn on the tank glass). It's only been a couple of days, though, so I don't know if he's stopped or just slowed down to where I can't notice, since he isn't missing huge chunks of fin like he was before.

ok well i was waiting to see if he stopped but he is biting it even shorter now!! i need suggestions before he ends up having no tail!!!
