What kinds of fish were in the tank with him? How big is the community tank? Some bettas like having the company of other fish and some hate it and will become VERY stressed out.

2 guppies and a sucker fish. the tank is 60 liters or 15 gallon. so it might just be stress?

Have you seen him go after the guppies or the guppies going after him? Guppies aren't the greatest fish to have with bettas because they can mistake them for other bettas because of their long fins and coloration. But since you only have 2 of them, I wouldn't think it would be that much of a problem.

What kind of "Sucker fish"??

There are a ton of different kinds and they are often aggressive...

Honestly, he doesn't look good. He looks like he could have some kind of internal parasite to me... but I'm not an expert. *Waits for Oldfishlady* :)

Yeah in that last picture it does look like that...it's kind of hard to see because the pictures are so dark. Could you take more pictures?
