Yeah looks like the poor guy isn't in the best conditions right now. I e-mailed her saying this:

Hello, I'm interested in your betta fish.

Where are you located? I'm near ______ PA.

I'm experienced with bettas, and have quite a few myself. I would love to give him a good home, but I wouldn't need the tank/bowl included. Would you be willing to sell him without his bowl and accessories? Or would you just give him to me considering I would give him a loving home?

A very nice fish, but her care instructions seem a bit flawed. Being a king betta, shouldn't it be fed at least two times per day, not per week? Also, I wonder what kinds of larger fish she had in mind when suggesting he be placed with them.

Yeah, I caught that too. 2 to 3 times a WEEK? Umm...no!lol *rolls eyes* He's very pretty! I hope she gives him to you for free. :) Now that I have a "King" I want another one! He's just sooo full of personality.

But that's ok DQ because you're on vaca, this woman was talking about a regular feeding schedule. Plus, King's are a lot bigger and need a little bit more food than the regular sized betta. :)
