Okay. I am the old lady here. I have some experience in lost pets. DO get another one and DON'T wait. You will instantly fall in love all over again. I think pets are a gift from God that way. It will heal your broken heart. Also, I just mentioned on another thread that we have no idea really (I don't know, maybe you did for this one...) where the fish come from and what they have been thru before they get to us, so ya, as the other member said, so many things are out of our control.
