I just called maybe 8 pet stores to "Play dumb" and ask them questions about bettas. LOL
My questions were:
Can you keep Females together? If so, how big of a tank do I need?
The majority said you could keep 2 females in a two gallon tank. One said you could have 3 females in a three gallon tank. Only ONE person suggested a 5-10 gallon tank. (hey, better then nothing) and one gave me a lecture on how aggressive females are.

Ohhh how I love having free cell phone minutes on a saturday afternoon. :P
Can you house a male and female together?
Most said no. One said "Yes, but it's not recommend that you do that 'cause they'll breed."
How do you breed bettas? Hahahahaaaa, this one was the best!! You could totally hear that they were guessing. LOL
One said, "You put two females to a male, then just wait for them to breed and then feed them flake food once they get bigger then separate them."
One petsmart, I called and the first person didn't know, then the second person didn't know and they put me on hold for like 10 minutes and the guy was like... UUmmm.. I'm not really sure, but it's a 50/50 chance they'll kill each other. If there ready they'll breed, and I'm not sure how to tell if there ready. NO one said anything about a bubble nest..
Yep... hope you enjoyed my story. If your bored, you should try it! Then post the results here!
