Lightbulb Safe now?

I'm contemplating getting a new betta. I may not need one so that's why I'm still debating but I hada question. I had a betta pass from dropsy a couple weeks ago. After he was flushed I washed his 2 gal tank out with soap and water and then rinsed throuroughly. Since the tank has been sitting out dry for the past few weeks there's no way contaminants can get to my new betta if I get one right?

I would do a good rinse with some vinegar water to cut through the soap residue and get another Betta and enjoy........

Dropsy is a symptom, the most common cause is from poor water quality that causes a bacterial infection and sometimes we buy them this way too, keep your water clean and don't over feed and you should be just fine.....

Looking forward to seeing your new Betta

I'm just worried if any soap residue dried against the glass. I would do what Oldfishlady suggested. Soap can be REAL bad with fish. Easily.

Thanks, I shall make sure no soap residue is leftover! And I'll need to find a REALLY amazing betta for me to replace him :(
