Question Betta log?

My LPS sells these betta logs that float on top of the water. Bettas can rest in them plus there is a feeding hole. Does anyone know if they are a good contribution to a tank and if you have one, how did your betta like it?

I would get it for the resting part, but it doesn't sound like a good idea for feeding because uneaten food would just sit in the hole and decay without you ever knowing

I like the feeding ring part. It will keep the food from floating away to fast. And since ya check them daily ya will see any uneaten.

I have two in my 5 gal tanks. My boys enjoy swimming thru them and they also like to rest in them at night. I do not feed them thru the hole simply because they are used to eating at their lid's feeding hole. I use an eye dropper to feed mine, so finding the pellets isn't a problem for them.
I personally like the logs, and I think my Betta's do too!! Marcel went in his almost immediately but it took Matisse about a day.
Go for it!

Thanks for the input. I'll be getting one for my betta Pal soon. All the cave like decorations that my LPS sell are quite rough and would rip a bettas fins, so I was wondering if this betta log was legit good for bettas.

The Betta log is a little rough too. Just take a soft nail file and give it a once over. Smooths up nicely.
