Feeding Bettas

Okay so I know they are supposed to get their pellets..right? So my question how can I feed them their pellets without the piggy Danios eating it before they get to it? Also,if I recall flakes are bad. I think...but I do feed the Danios and Corys different kinds of flakes (as well as the cories getting their own kinda food) every other day or so. I just fed the tank,the females seemed to just spit out the flakes. Of course the piggy Danios ate em up super fast. So...how do I do this?? LOL

So it looks like the females gave in and ate the flakes lol. They have full tummies now. But I will go out and get some betta specific flakes,also new pellets as mine have been sitting around awhile.
