I'm glad I said it now, I was going to leave it out haha :)

Yup, but make sure its cold water your boiling, by that I mean from the cold water tap. Hot water goes through a different system or something which is why its not good for us to drink =)

I too, have been letting my water sit 24 hours to let the chlorine evaporate. Room temperature in my house is 19C, so I then take some and boil it. I pour slowly back into the rest until the temperature reaches the same as the tank (28C or so.) Then, I do a 50% water change.

When I do a full tank change, I do the same thing, and I still leave the girls in plastic bags of the old water, floating in the new water for half an hour to be sure.
