Photo shoot with Slick

I managed to sneak out of the bedroom after getting my son to fall asleep, and decided to take some shots of Slick.

Thanks. It is just a Nikon D3100. I took these with the 18-55 kit lens, then cropped them in a bit.

He's a very pretty one too! I have a Nikon Cool Pix L820 I am trying to learn to use. I would love to be able to take better pics.

I had my shutter speed actually pretty slow for these, he just sit still enough for me to get them. But normally you need a fast shutter speed, but not so fast that everything comes out dark.
It is a tough balance to get everything just right to get good shots.

I need to learn how to use it; all I've tried so far are the pre-set settings. How cool to find another WaRshingtonian on here :)

Ha! I just seen that! Always wanted to go to the San Juan's... We used to live in Enumclaw for a while. We would go into Seattle on the weekends some times and play around. Sometimes we would hop the ferry over to Bainbridge for ice cream after dinner.
