Sleeping Betta!

I have a question, it may be a bit stupid:

How does a betta sleep?

I've bever seen my betta sleep so...

Do they wake up with the sun? or...like just fall asleep randomly...I think I heard that betta's can actually "lay down" unlike other fish...is that true? Like they lay against a leaf or something...

Mine sleep in different places, some of them stay near the top (one on top of his house) some in their plants, and one sleeps near the bottom

Mine tend to sleep on the sponge filter. Maybe it just seems like a pillow...I don't know. Seen them tuck underneath a leaf, as well as come to rest on top of one, also.

Mine hides under his plants to sleep.

He doesn't seem to have much of a schedule, but I like to think that he's like a cat. You know, sleeping for a little while, then swimming around and exploring for a little while and back to sleeping (or maybe just lounging). Of course, since I personify every pet I've ever had, I also like to think that he goes to sleep when I do (i.e., when I turn out the lights), but I'll never know, since I'm sleeping. I do know that he gets really excited when the lights come back on in the morning.

Mine kind of spreads out and semi floats near the top around his plants or in the corner of the tank. There have beens time ive switched the lights on in the middle of the night to see what he was upto.....and he almost acted like he didnt "see" me. I think he was SLEEEEPING.....cuz once i started talking he kind of flinched and got excited to see me! LOL.....

So i think they sleep when the lights are off and they are still. Just kind of wherever they feel comfy. -shrugs-

Two of mine sleep on their plants, one in his cave, and the other sleep towards to top of the tank.
