cat in disguise

I think my new HM, Lyre is a cat in disguise.. He has gone through at least 3-4 lives so far I think! :-/

1. get's into red's section and gets his fins torn apart.
2. gets into firefly's section everyone is fine.
3. this AM i come down to find him in Firefly's section again! they were both swimming happily. No damage to Firefly's tail or fins at all and Lyre had no more damage to his fins than was present yesterday!
4. I panic and I can't maneuver the net in Firefly's section so with just a bit of chasing I scoop him up with my hand and he jumps out of my hand and lands on the floor!!! so I quickly grab him and plop him back in his section. he was panting shallowly for a few min. now he is ok and flaring at everyone again... he has a death wish I think :-/

i don't know why my dividers suck. they are all fine I make sure there are no spaces anywhere they can get thru and put mesh on TOP so no one can jump and somehow they still get to different sections.

SIGHHH!

I just had to vent I think :P I swear my past too nights I keep having dreams about bettas and worrying about them and am worried when I come down and check on them something bad will happen.

yes, I have to admit to this.

Firefly is visibly a male. I think if I had more room in his section, Firefly would get buddies. He flares at both Speedbump and my halfmoon, but he is very friendly. But Speedbump, my VT, flares at Firefly, but he has buddies and is friendly.

oh and after I posted this thread, later he got with Firefly again :P they were both happily swimming together :P :P

I re-re-re- arranged the divider and since then (including throughout the night) everyone has stayed in their separate sections!! yay! I think everything will be fine till it is tank cleaning time which is a long time from now. With my filter running, like probably once a month.
