Exclamation Help!! Toothless is really hurt

I just got home and my fish has been lethargic all day. I noticed just now when I got home that it looks like he is seriously injured and idk how. Its all red by his dorsal fin and it looks like his fin is ripped...Im pretty sure he is internally bleeding and I dont know what happened! I could cry! He's barely swimming around....this morning he was just resting on the rocks too and I thought maybe he was just cold..but even a little tip of his fin is red...idk what to do.

I'm going to post pictures in just a few minutes when they upload

Oh, how sad. He was a beautiful fish. Are there any other tankmates? I can't imagine what could have ripped his fin other than something sharp in the tank. I'm sorry for your loss.

He only had a silk plant and the divider in his tank, so I don't think he got caught on anything. Someone suggested that he had hemorrhagic septicemia...but they told me this after I woke up and found him dead. I guess the bacteria infection is contagious..so I put salt in with my other betta.
I don't think I can do it anymore...I loved all my bettas and something always happens. I think the betta I have left is the last one I'm buying.
