Split Tank Male/Sorority?

I've tried looking back through posts to see if this was already answered, but gave up on page 60 something?...if it has, please link thread? Thanks! and sorry for reposting.

I am wondering if you can do a split tank with one side a single male and the other a small sorority of 4-5 females? if so, what size tank would you recommend? I was hoping to stay at 10 gallons just for space factors. Can you split it like...7gal (girls) 3 gal for the male? or is this just all together not recommended? and why? I just like to understand stuff :P

Thanks! :D

The minimum sized tank for a sorority of 5-6 females is ten gallons, so if you wanted to split the tank, it's have to be more than ten, maybe around fifteen, with ten or so for the girls, and five or so for the guy. :)

Great! Thank you :D I'll see what I can move around, if a 15 gal is feasible at this point, if not, i may just split for another male, or get some non betta tank mates.

For sure want to try a Sorority in the future tho, looks like fun.
