New Betta

Hi I am a new Betta Fish owner. I have a 1.5 gallon tank, heated to 84 degrees, with a filere, light and 2 silk plants. I just purchashed a male Betta for my tank. I was told he is less than 1 year old. I am concerned since I brought him home 2 days ago he is very docile, he just lays on the bottom of the tank. He has not eaten but did poop. Can someone please give me some insight? Thanks.

Hes just getting used to his home. Wait awhile and see what happens.

The temperature is too high - The best is around 77-80F constant.

You don't always see them poop. Sometimes the amount of poop I siphon up when i do water changes surprises me. But other than that, he's probably getting used to his home.
