Question Very slight curling of fin?

How would I cure this? It's just a corner of his fin is curled over... like it may not be a problem but I thought I'd ask.

I think this is normal. Though I've never had a betta with curled fins, I have seen quite a few that look perfectly happy and healthy.

I've heard that the reason fins curl is because the tank is too small. I'm not saying this is whats wrong with your betta cause I dont have a clue about curling fins lol. I'm just thinking someone may correct me and put me straight =) Have you got a pic of him?

I've also heard that if fins are damaged, they won't grow back as nicely- or they may be curled. 0_0

I've been told hard water can also cause it. Tango's are curled all to heck and back and he's in a 16 gallon. You can see his curling in my avatar and one of his ventrals is curled into an S shape where it grew into itself. It doesn't bother him at all.

Curling can be caused by small conditions, poor water quality, hard water... even poor diet I think. If they're curling because of hard water I've had a lot of luck with using peat in my tanks to soften the water. Its really helped my boy Chaos with his ray curling.

I read they have curled fins as when they are developing they aren't kept in big enough containers to stretch out and grow properly.

Mine had a curled fin; I've had him 2.5-3months now; it's still curled but it is a LOT straigher than it was. I dont know if it will ever be straight; but I dont mind so long as he is ok with it.

A lot of times bettas get curled fins, like everyone has said, from cramped conditions. This probably isn't you though, a lot of times bettas from your LPS will have curled fins from the tiny cups
