I think poseidon broke a fish record!!

I got him a little more than a week ago, and he's in a 1gal tank with no heater. But guesswhat! He can break the record for the world's happiest fish! When I got him, his fins were curled in and he had ich spots and pink gills. But now, he's in perfect heath and his colors are allot brigher (or at least it seems like it) and my crappy DSI's camera app can't capture the beauty of it! His fins have uncurled and now they are like 3 times their size! His fins are like an inch and 1/3 long. But that's not all. He has a bubblenest, and you will not believe how thick it is. Like almost a centimeter thick, but I have no idea how long the bubblenest is. Sorry if it seems like I'm stretching the truch or anything. But to think a fish can seem that healthy in an unheated, 1gal tank? He pwned people that said he wouldn't thrive.

Glad your fish is doing better! You don't ALWAYS need a heater, although it's recommended. If the climate where you live is rather warm, your bettas will be just fine without it. I actually only tend to use my heaters in the winter and early spring (but of course it's been more chilly than normal here for a while so I keep em on.)
