Don't worry. Im used to being spoken down to like an idiot, its not really anything new to me lol

I always worry about turning the filter off because I know the damage it can do but I need my beauty sleep :p Joke, it just gets annoying and I don't have the best patience in the world lmao

I will check the impeller tomorrow as its kinda late and I don't fancy getting my hands wet right now lol, I doubt it will make a difference though its been running this noisy since I had it a week or so ago, I think it was just designed with me in mind lol. Do you think the noise could be worse because its in a plastic tank? don't laugh just humour me lol.

Thanks for your help mfskarphedin, I just wish you'd chosen an easier name to spell haha

Hmm, yeah, I would personally think a plastic tank would resonate more if it has a noisy filter in it. Eheim is considered pretty much the best in aquarium pumps, if you can find/afford one. Hopefully you'll be able to fix up the filter you have, though. If not, I'm the type who'd return it. I need my sleep, too!

Hope that helps. You can just call me Kristen. :)

This was my problem and you helped me solve it! Only I tied a bit of material around it. My splashing is so much quieter now! Thank you!

Welsh I hope you find a less noisy filter!
