Thumbs down Are Crowntails Smaller?

At my local PetSmart all of the Crown Tails are much smaller than the VT's. I asked if they would grow larger and they said "No". Is this true or are they shipping them younger? Thanks!

Heck no. I have a ginormous crowntail that is bigger than a king betta. (and he isn't one.) They're all just young i suppose.

BTW, why do I have a "Thumbs Down" image. Did I accidentally hit a key when I was typing. Well, who knows what I did, but I am new at this and haven't figured out everything about posting. Thanks again.

Yes I'd like to know if this is true or not as well. My veil tail is a MONSTER compared to my delta and crowntail. Mind you my delta is a babe yet.

Ugh pet store employees! *rolls eyes* They were probably younger than the VT's. I've had some CT's that were bigger than my VT's and visa versa.

Thanks!! I figured as much. They get them shipped together, the VT's and CT's. Wonder why they ship such different aged Betta's. The CT's are not even half as big. They look like little Mini Betta's.

CT and VTs are actually about the same size at the Petstore :o I was always wondering why VTs were so much larger, and then I compared body sizes and they were the same. I guess the tail just makes them look bigger?

Anyways, I've never actually had a VT o.o No matter how many times I tell myself I want a VT, I always come back with a CT D: haha.. But I haven't had a CT that grew more than 2.5 inches

They were probably from different breeders.

My CT Nereus is something like 6 inches and still counting. He's the largest betta I've ever had, much bigger than my vt's.
