bamboo/flower shrimp

Would they be a good companion for a male betta?

Those get huge (need at least 55 gallons), prefer cooler temps, and require strong current... so no.

+1, they are usually only filter feeders. They may eat of of they bottom, when extremely hungry.
Ghost or whisker shrimp are a lot better option.

CRS require cooler temps as well, so no.

You could probably do RCS if your betta is mellow enough, but caridina and neocaridina species are so small I wouldn't trust most bettas around them.

Crs do fine in warm water. But they are hard to care for and the betta will most likely eat them.

Ghost and Amano are the most successful.

Dwarf shrimp usually just don't last in a betta tank. You would need an exceptionally docile betta.

Max temp is 78F for CRS, and they usually are much more sensitive than their Neocaridina cousins. Usually they will end up not breeding, or will not live as long in the extremes.
