Bourbon the Metal Fish

As some of you may know I'm in a band, and we played a gig last night at "The Bourbon Theatre".
While getting out all my equipment and beginning to set up I looked up and saw a tiny bowl with a BIG betta fish in it! It was a male VT but that's all I could tell because of the lighting.
I felt terrible because where he was set up he was totally exposed to the ridiculous amount of sound coming out of our amps and monitors. But strangely enough, judging by his behavior after the show he didn't seem to mind it too much.

...I was seriously contemplating stealing him and taking him home with me... and naming him Bourbon...

It probably would have worked, since I spoke to one of the staff members about the fish and he just said "well that's news to me! I had no idea he was back there!"
Hm...
I wanna go adopt him!

Hmm. Well, since the staff member had no idea he was in there, volunteer to take him! :)

I'll be playing and attending several more shows at that venue this summer, I'm seriously considering going down and asking about it.

Awww poor thing. If they have no idea that he's even there, I doubt they'd care.

The water looked clean and from what I could see he looked healthy, so obviously someone's caring for him. I spoke to the guy handling the money at the door, so he probably doesn't pay enough attention inside to know for sure. They could have a betta in the kitchen at my job and i would have no idea since i work in the front of the restaurant. lol

Well, I would rescue him either way... he's in a small tank, and would be happier with you anyway. Find a way to convince the people to let you have him ;)
