What are your thoughts on this food?

Hey guys! So I've realized that Chevy has bloating issues with the pellets I feed him, so I decided to go the frozen route. I got him frozen(not freeze-dried!) bloodworms. The brand is San Francisco Bay Brand, has anyone else tried this with their betta? Should I be giving him in addition to this? I plan on trying this with him tomorrow, looks gross but I'm hoping he'll enjoy it. :)

Idk if it was that particular brand or not, but they LOVED frozen bloodworms, omg.
No bloating either, poor haruki ate his freeze dried ones and got bloated >.<

I use the sanfrancisco bay brand and all 9 of my bettas love them..even the picky one...I have to watch carefully cause as soon as they see them they start jumping for it..its kinda funny..as long as one doesnt jump out one day XD

I would try to fing some staple for him though, the bloodworms shouldnt be fed every day... what about trying to feed him a small amounto of pea before feeding him the pellet (or two)..I had a similar case but I just had to adjust the amount i fed and I fed 2-3 pellets per day but I fed one in the morning one in the evening and then one at night and that kept the bloating away for the most part.

I also dont know how a frozen diet would work if you fed 3-4 different types if maybe that would make it more balanced and healthy..I hope someone can give you better info.

I'm confused, I thought peas were bad for them? So should I feed him a pellet once in the morning and evening and then the bloodworms the next day? :-s I usually feed him every other day so yeah.

Daphnia is a better, healthier alternative to peas.

Agree with the daphnie for bloating! What type of pellets are you feeding?? Some brands are better then others! I feed a mix of the Hikari Betta Bio-Gold and the Topfin Color enhancing pellets and have never had problems with bloating!
