I accidentally acquired the first two girls of my sorority tonight...I couldn't NOT take them home!
I read Dramaqueen's post on Sororities (a few times) and still have a few questions.
1) as far as putting in the least aggressive girls first...how do I tell? are they the more active ones? Do I spread rumors about the girls, and see who throws the first punch? Or is it a "toss um in and see who's nasty then separate" type deal?
2) Putting in 2-3 girls at a time, how long do I wait before adding more?
3) What do I do if I only fell in love with 2 girly bettas, and wanted to wait til the LFS got their next shipment in...what do I do with them til then, if they shouldn't be in there with just the two of them?
4) In a 20 gallon tank, if I figured this correctly, 10 fish would be max
I am doing a 5/15 gallon split, for my males bachelor pad, and the sorority
I may do a 7/13 split and put a ADF in with the male and see how they fare. Is 6 females a good number? Drama said 6 was ideal, is that a good stocking ratio? 20 gallons for 1 male, 6 female, 1 Frog...and live plants. I don't need a frog, but Butch might get lonely and wanna have a beer with a buddy and talk about the hot, but totally unattainable chicks next door.
Thanks!!
