I'm not trying to start a spawn or anything, but just a quick question on male and female behavior.
My male VT Winston and my female (CT or VT, hard to tell on her) Nina's tanks are right next to each other. There are some days where he will swim in circles around his tank, pause in front of her, flare, and continue while Nina sits and watches. There are other days (as we speak for example) where they'll both go all out and flare at one another and swim back and forth.
Whenever either of these things happens Nina will have a slight color change and get her breeding stripes... yes, the vertical ones, no horizontal stress bars.
BUT, since I upgraded Winston's tank I haven't seen so much as a row of bubbles come out of him! They both confuse me. what the fudge. are they just showing aggression towards one another or is this part of the courting process?
