I went to Petco today to get my money back on the poor, deceased Russell, and ended up with the Cambodian HM that's been there for at least two weeks. Or at least they say he's a halfmoon, but I can't really tell. I'd call him tailless except for MustardGas's really and truly tailless rescue! At the moment I'm not so much concerned with the tail as with getting him to eat. So here's Galahad:
And then, while I was at Wal-Mart, I stopped by the fish section and spotted this boy. There were a few others I wanted, including a beautiful little butterfly CT in a horribly dirty cup and a very pale yellow/pastel VT, but I ended up with Jack here. His ventral fins are completely curled back on themselves, but I'm going to try and soften his water and see if they don't get a little better. If not, oh well--they don't seem to be bothering him in the slightest. And what would you call his color? The pictures are pretty true-to-life in that regard. Oh, and I promise the plastic plants are temporary. I just wanted to give him something while I try to procure a live plant for his tank.
