Post Jars for spawning

I'm going to spawn once I get a new heater. The last one was old and decided to stop working the day I was gonna toss the girl in with my male. I only thing i don't have are the jars for when the fry need to be separated. I was wondering where you get yours and how much they cost. I don't have much money so I was wondering if there are any good deals one them. The fish store i live near sells them for a dollar each, which in my opinion is expensive for the size of them.

I use pint size caning jars and pay about 3-4 buck a dozen for them. I also make 100% daily water changes and add duckweed to each jar as well as card them so that the male can't see each other.

I'll be using a mixture of 1 gallon pickle jars that I already have as well as 1 gallon plastic jars from walmart (about $2.50 a jar).

They're a little more expensive than mason jars (which I'm also considering if money gets too tight) but since they're a gallon that means I can get away with every other day changes and that they'll be big enough for full grown fish to live in until we get them all sold.
