tail bitter

Ok so I got a new female on Saturday and everything was fine until I went up to say hello and then she turned and I saw her tail it was almost half gone with bite makes all over. I know it was obvious signs but its late so what do I do with the bitter should I put her in her own tank or what. Please help asap the target is my fav female

Are you saying she bit her own tail or another Betta bit her tail?

I would QT the female that has the bitten tail and start making 100% daily water changes for a week or so, the clean water will help prevent a secondary infection and promote healing.
