Filter Problems...

Okay, I bought the 5 gallon starter kit from Wal-Mart and the filter that came with it is just too powerful.

I've been wanting to get a sponge to put over the intake but I'm at a loss because none of the stores around be have ever heard of a sponge being used for fish filters.

My question is what kind of sponge should I use and can I but it at Wal-Mart, Target, Kmart, or Lowes and it would still be safe for my betta?

Try asking for a 'sponge pre filter'
