Algae Eater Needed ASAP

Po's tank is in serious need of constant de algaeing. The position it is in is very sunbased. But Po likes it n the temp is constant. And its the only child friendly place to put him so he doesnt get tampered with!!!

BUT the algae is terrible! I need summit to munch it.

I know ottos need 10 gallons n 3 fish and mine is only an 8. How detrimental is the missing 2 gallons?? I can up the water changes if that will ensure that no1 gets sick.

OR any alternatives? With snails being last option.

Don't get snails if you want a cleaner tank because they poop sooo much that it will dirty yout tank more than they will clean it. Use http://www.aqadvisor.com/. It is an aquarium stocking calculator and may help.

It says with 3 ottos n Po it is 95% stocked n needs 22% water changes weekly. That sounds ok

The water changes on that site is a little low, I think you should do around 40% water changes weekly instead. Your welcome:)

I always change the water 50% weekly anyway. Both tanks. Mayb im just a little 2 cautious

3 otos in an 8g with one betta sound just fine to me!! Those little buggers clean like craaaazy!
