When will this obsession end

I have been wanting RCS for a while and was going to get another 2.4 critter keeper but then tonight I stumbled across a 5.5 with light, filter, heater for just £70 this seems ideal as my betta at the moment cant have any plants in his tank but I was wondering is it just an Apple snail I can keep in the 5.5 with him?

Ok, so even better I just found a 35 litre for the exact same price, this is so frustrating lol

Edit: When cycling a tank what can I do to speed up the process? I know im not really good with following the cycling rules but can I take anything from his old tank to speed it up?
