Sorority of wolverines and algae wavers

And with that I am not talking about Hugh Jackman but rather a bunch of Gulo gulos.
I just added the two snails to our two 10 gal tanks and gave each half an algae waver (per recommendation of the pet store associate, just half a waver for one snail). After Captain Booty (black Mystery snail) was done eating, three of our female bettas descended on the leftover waiver and now all three look like potbellied pigs... I manged to get the last quarter of the waver out before they could eat themselves to death.
From now on I will break the waver in 10 little pieces and see what happens when the snail is done with its 10th of it...
Guess tomorrow is an unscheduled fasting day in the sorority tank.
