Ok, New Englanders, where are we?

I figured it's a smallish area, so we could swap/sell fish/equipment without shipping maybe? I know there are a couple other people in Maine. I'm right next to Dover, NH, on the border of S. Berwick, ME.

I did have an idea previously for people nearby to split a shipment of bettas with me, but unfortunately, I don't have a car atm, so that's my main comment, I guess. :p

I'm in Maine and am trying to resist buying three awesome bettas that are dying at portland Petco.. if anyone's interested..one is white/transluscent with visable patchworky veins, he reminds me of the girl in nitemare before christmas, he is a dt
also there is a white dt, and a greenish mystery tail that looks awesome...

The visible veins might indicate septicemia.

hmm, wish I had a picture, to me it looked like it has transparent skin and therefore you could see all of its veins, this fish has been there for about 3 weeks, still looks the same, young and heathy but now with the lack of water change... :(
anyways I just googled that-and couldn't find any good photos, but got creeped out anyway :D!
In any case I am wondering if betta disease is transferable to humans, I am washing out their tanks in the (gasp) kitchen sink! I have started bleaching the sink after, but I do water 100 % changes a lot, like 3 tanks every three days.

It's bloody streaks or blotchy spots. It's very difficult to treat. On the other hand, maybe it's just a weird-looking fish. *shrug*
