So I live about 5 minutes away from a Petco, and last month for the first time I was bitten by the Betta bug, and I got it BAD. So today I was going to Petco to get some more plants ect for my other two Bettas, and I told myself before I went in I was not getting a new fish. Two is enough! Well, everyone knows how that is, and I wandered over to the Bettas...what a sad, sad sight. There were SEVERAL dead ones just floating in their little cups, and a handful of near death ones also. I have never been so mad and sad. I knew I had to save one of these little guys. Low and behold in the back of them, I found one just laying on his side on the bottom of his cup, alot of his fins torn or ripped up. I had to help him. I ended up buying him, along with a new 3 gallon tank, a plant, gravel, and some food. I spent $45 to save him, but it's so worth to help a fish in need.
as you can see kinda there is a chunk missing out of his top fin, and there are various other tears. Like i said, I have only owned bettas for about a month and a half, so I'm not sure what his color is called. His cup said he is a Double Tail.
Here's another one of him while I was waiting for his tank to settle. He was just laying on his side on the bottom. I thought for sure he had died on the way home by the way he was just laying there :( I really hope he makes it, he is so beautiful. I decided on the name Harley because it's Ohio Bike week here in my town. Now that he has been in the tank for about 30 minutes, he seems to be pepping up a bit. On friday when I get my paycheck I'm buying more things for him ^^ If anyone has any tips for me to help him heal, please, let me know!!
Also, here are my other two Bettas, Phyre and Frost.

Phyre- yes that is Squidward's house.
