Question Cycling?

I have my betta tigger in a 6 gallon tank it is heated but it does not have a filter so obivously it isent cycled. he id doing great swimming round normally exploring the his cave and stuff. so my question is should i have cycled it?

IMO-as long as you are doing the needed water changes to maintain quality water, no cycle is needed, and unless you get some type of aeration you will not get a true cycle.
Water changes should be 50% 2-3 times a week with a good vacuum with each water change on an unfiltered 6g tank and a 100% water change monthly.
This is based on 1 Betta and uneaten food removed after feeding and not over feeding.
However, cycling would be a good idea on a 6g and that would decrease some of the water changes and decrease risk of spikes.
